Older News22/12/2007 - Grading. As last time Master Lai will be coming over to grade us. Those of you that think they are ready to grade should see Sandra as quickly as possible. She will need to see the required techniques for your grade! Grading forms have to be handed in by Thursday next week (13/12). Even if you are not grading please attend on the 22/12. Hopefully there will be time for a class with Master Lai after the grading. The grading will start at 12 noon at the American Gym. Please be there at least 15 minutes beforehand. 20/12/2007 - Christmas Dinner. As usual we would like to have a Christmas dinner before the holidays. Although nothing has been set yet I'll just go ahead and propose the Thursday 20/12. Please come and see me (Tim) if you wish to come. 1 and 11/11/2007 - Bank holidays. There will be no classes on these days. 27/10/2007 - Malaysia Trip. Next Saturday Sandra and three of the Brussels NPC students will join around 60 other NPC students and travel to Malaysia to train with Master Queck during one week. After that the trip will continue in New Zealand. During these three weeks classes will be tought by senior students. 25/10/2007 - Brussels NPC 3 year celebration. After the class on Thursday the 25th we will celebrate the 3 years of the club and have a meal together. The place still has to be determined. If you wish to come tell David or talk to Sandra. 01/09/2007 - It's the end of the hollydays. But good news we are going back to our normal training schedule! From Sunday 02/09 we will have training sessions in the American Gym again. Tuesday remains the same. Regarding Thursdays we are still waiting for confimation but we should be able to continue as usual in the Institut St Jean Baptiste de la Salle. Thursday sessions and hall confirmed. 16/09/2007 - Grading in London. If you believe that you are ready to grade and are available that day, see Sandra (or Frédéric who keeps a list) as soon as possible and by Tuesday 14/08/07 at the latest. It is expected that you are aware of your required techniques and forms. TRAINING ON THIS DAY IS CANCELLED! 20/06/2007 - Changes to schedule during the Summer. During July and August there will be no Sunday class, and the Thursday class will be at the American Gym (Hall 3) at 7.30 pm. So there will be no class in the school in Saint Gilles. 09/06/2007 - UPDATE Grading. The grading will be at 1pm at the American Gym, Hall 3 (the one upstairs). Please make sure you're there and ready on time. The grading will be followed by a class taught by Master Lai. 09/06/2007 - Grading in Brussels. The first Grading to be held in Brussels! We invite all club members to attend the grading even if you do not take part. Reserve the date! The venue still has to be confirmed. For any further information please see Sandra during class or send an E-mail to the club's address. 08/04/2007 - no class on Easter sunday. Please note that there will be no class on sunday 08/04/2007. 11/03/2007 - Grading in London. If you believe that you are ready to grade and are available that day, see Sandra as soon as possible and by Tuesday 13/02/07. It is expected that you are aware of your required techniques and forms. On the day of the grading the class will be cancelled. 28/02/2007 - Order uniforms, t-shirts, DVDs, etc. . If you wish to order a uniform, t-shirts, hoodies, or system DVDs, please send an email to shaolinnpc@yahoo.com to place your order and pay the required amount onto the club's bank account by 28 February. 17/02/2007 - Day before Chinese New Year. We are intending to celebrate the Chinese new year on Saturday night (17/02) with some food and a couple of drinks. Sandra has a list and if you would like to come please let her know by Thursday 08/02/07. The dinner will be at 7 pm at the Mam Mam, rue du marché au charbon 72 in the town centre. 11/01/2007 - Thursdays change of venue. From 2007 onwards we will no longer be training at the ASBL Viaduc. Thursday classes will now be held at: Institut Saint-Jean-Baptiste de la Salle, 19 rue Moris, 1060 Saint-Gilles. Click here for the map. 24/12/2006 - 07/01/2007 - Christmas Holiday. 2006 07/12/2006 - Christmas Dinner. On Thursday 07/12/2006 the club is organising a Christmas Dinner after the class. The class will begin half an hour earlier (7pm) and will end at 8.30 pm sharp so we won't be too late for the restaurant. Those who are not able to attend the class that day are welcome to join us at the restaurant. Please let Sandra know (by Tuesday, 05/12/06 the latest) if you will come. Place to be: Le deuxième élément, Rue Saint-Boniface 7, 1050 Ixelles. 03/12/2006 - Grading in London. As usual the trip will be organised by the club. If you think that you are ready to grade you should see Sandra as soon as possible. October/November - 2007. Nam Pai Chuan Trip to Malaysia and New Zealand. Nam Pai Chuan is organising a training voyage to Malaysia and New Zealand to train with senior System instructors. The trip will most likely take place end of October beginning of November and last 3 weeks. 1 week in Malaysia (hopefully train with Sifu Quek) and 2 weeks in New Zealand. In order to get group discount NPC requires a deposit by the end of November 2006. At the moment the price is expected to be about 2 300 €. The deposit required is about 300 €. Final payment will be required 3 months before departure (July 2007). This really is a once in a lifetime chance. If you are interested please send an e-mail to the club address and we will send you the booking form. 11-12/11/2006 - Training weekend in London. The annual Nam Pai Chuan Cho Si Dinner, which is open to all students of Nam Pai Chuan will be held on Saturday, the 11th of November in London. Our club will be using this opportunity to combine this important event with a few training sessions. Please see Sandra after class or send an E-mail by the 19th of October if you want to come.
08/10/2006 - Senior class. Next Sunday Sandra will hold a senior class (yellow belt and above) in addition to the normal class. Normal class (everyone) from 11.30am till 1pm as usual; senior (yellow +) 1pm - 2pm. Please try to come to the senior class or inform Sandra otherwise. 17/09/2006 - Grading in London. As usual the trip will be organised by the club. If you think that you are ready to grade you should see Sandra as soon as possible. Classes on this day are cancelled. The Grading results are finally on-line. See them here. 07/08/2006 - Thursday classes: new training venue. There will be a new class on Thursdays, 7.30pm - 9pm at ASBL VIADUC, rue du Viaduc 133, 1050 Ixelles, Hall "Salam". If you are not training regularly at the other classes of the week, you will need to pay 4 euros to attend this class. 15/08/2006 - Public holiday. There will be no class as the dojo will be closed. The next class will be on Thursday, 17/08/2006. 21/07/2006 - 04/08/2006 - Summer holidays. No classes will be held during this time. The classes start again as normal on the 06/08/2006. 02/07/2006 - Ad hoc classes in the park. As Sandra announced today, we will be organising extra classes on Thursdays at 7.30pm in the 'Bois de la Cambre' at the usual spot - if the weather is favourable. For further information on how we will announce whether the classes take place or not click here or on the title bar at the top of this page. 18/06/2006 - Grading in London. As it was the case last time the trip is organised by the club. Classes on this day are cancelled due to the trip. The results are listed here. For examiners comments see Sandra during class. I've uploaded the pictures. You can see them here. 04/06/2006 - New Training location. As most of you know ou current training hall has been sold and from June we will no longer be able to use it. We will still be training there as usual until the end of May. The first lesson to be held in the new hall is on the Sunday 04/06. Click here for details on the new training location and some other important information. 29/06/2006 - Non-profit organisation. On this day the Nam Pai Chuan Club - Brussels has become a registered 'ASBL' under the Name NAM PAI CHUAN BELGIUM A.S.B.L. Click here to find out more. 28/05/2006 - Matt is coming over. I hope to see most of you there as Matt makes the trip specifically for us. Exceptionally the class will start at 11am and last till 2pm. I've uploaded the pictures. You can see them here. 21/05/2006 - BBQ at Sandra's. After the Sunday class we will organise a BBQ for the clubs members. To help us with the organisation please see Tim after class or send an E-mail to shaolinnpc@yahoo.com if you wish to join us. Those that are not coming to the training session can join us straight away at Sandra's (not too far from our hall) from 2.45pm. Obviously you can bring your better (or worse) half, but please do tell us in advance. Sandra will send an E-mail with the address and further details to those interested in the next few days. 10/05/2006 - Mock Grading . Those of you wishing to take part in the June grading should prepare themselves for this mock grading!! If you have the intention of asking Sandra to grade in June, but cannot attend this mock grading you should tell her so as soon as possible. The rest of the class will be as usual (those not wishing to grade should not be put off). 03/05/2006 - The Dutch version of the site is on-line!!! 16/04/2006 - Easter Sunday. No class will be held on this day. Training will resume as usual on wednesday the 19/04. 12/03/2006 - Grading in London. A number of us went to the grading. The trip was organised by Sandra. Consequently training on the Sunday 12/03 was cancelled. Thirteen members of the Brussels club graded. The results are listed here. For examiners comments see Sandra during class. Finally the pictures are on-line click here to see them. 22/02/2006 - Mock Grading. We will have a simulated grading, which beside other things will help Sandra decide who is ready to go to the London Grading. Everybody who wants to grade should attend and if you cannot you should talk to Sandra about it before the 22/02. Apart from this it will be a normal class (everybody is welcome). 19/02/2006 - Sandra will be absent (Black belt classes in the UK). The Dojo will be open and the green belts will be present to do the warm up and guide you through your training. Make use of this opportunity to learn/practice your forms and other exercises. This will be of particular use (but certainly not exclusively) for those of you that wish to grade in London, to prepare for the 'Mock Grading' next week. 24/12/2005 - 07/01/2006 - End of year holidays. There are no classes in this period. Training will resume on the Sunday, 8th of January 2006. 21/12/2005 - Christmas Meal. After the Wednesday class (21/12) you are all welcome to join us for a meal in a Chinese restaurant. Those who cannot attend training that day can meet us directly at the restaurant: "Lok Kwok" 230, Ch. d'Ixelles 1050 Brussels. We should have sufficient space available in the cars, althoug it isn't far from the Dojo. If you would like to come, please see Tim after class.
